Therapeutic Specialties:
Increasing understanding of self and others as a way to process conflict and address relationship issues.
Working with men who are resistant to couples counseling.
Therapeutic Approach:
I believe that each client and each couple jointly has a unique base of strengths, as well as a unique way in which they access these strengths. With this in mind, I tailor the therapy course to create ease, comfort, and bias- and judgement-free setting, which is especially helpful when one partner is reluctant about therapy.
My proudest accomplishments as therapist:
Seeing a couple or individual light up when they understand what's been happening and become empowered to take charge of the situation.
What inspired me to become a therapist:
Learning about the link between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors was a powerful lesson for me in early Psychology classes. It put me on the path of continued learning about human nature and human interactions.
