Therapeutic Approach:
The relationship between the therapist and client is one of the most integral factors in therapy. I offer my clients a relationship that is based on empathetic attunement, honesty, and acceptance. While my approach is informed by psychodynamic thinking, I recognize that each individual, couple, and family is unique and there is no “one size fits all” solution to healing. My goals as a therapist are to help clients explore different facets of themselves and offer new insights. Ultimately, I work to empower my clients to dive deep, address fears, and live a value driven life.
What Has Inspired Me To Become A Therapist:
Before I decided to become a therapist, I was a client. I quickly became inspired by the therapeutic process and how each session left me feeling heard, motivated, and less defeated. The therapy room is a transformational place and my experience as a client fostered my passion for helping people through emotional difficulties.
My Proudest Accomplishment as a Therapist:
Witnessing my clients evolve from a place of shame and confusion to a place of compassion and understanding.
What I Know For Sure:
We all have challenges that may feel like they are too big to overcome on our own. It is not a burden to share those challenges and allow others to take part in our healing.
Words to Live By/Favorite Quotes:
“Stop trying to calm the storm. Calm yourself. The storm will pass.”
“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through, and it will become someone else’s survival guide.” -Brené Brown
“Make no judgments where you have no compassion”
