Therapeutic Approach
I work from an emotionally focused approach to help clients foster connected relationships with others and contentment within themselves. My focus is on understanding and alleviating emotional discord through here-and-now experiences. In order to find fulfillment, all clients deserve to feel deep connection, intimacy and security in their lives. With security, people are then able to maintain positive bonding experiences in their relationships. I strive for clients to develop awareness into their cycle or patterns and encourage the exploration of blocks in order to lead a more balanced and fulfilled life.
My proudest accomplishment as therapist:
This work is both challenging and rewarding. My best moments have been with clients that have had limited or no experience with the process. It’s been inspiring to see people address their discomfort or disconnection, get to know themselves, dive deep into their emotional work and then terminate with a stronger and healthier foundation from when they started. It makes me so proud to see people praise themselves for all of their efforts. Watching clients live as their best selves and have happy, bonded relationships is what motivates my work.
What inspired me to become a therapist:
Since I was young, people and
relationships always fascinated me.
Looking at the way people connect, find satisfaction and happiness
seemed so necessary for life functioning.
I’ve observed the ups and down’s that people experience together. I have been on my own journey to innately
understand myself and my needs. Because
of my earlier experiences, I knew that it was important for me to help others
overcome life’s obstacles in a safe space.
What I know now for sure:
Life is short. Always be kind to yourself.
Relationships make us whole and “thank you” can go a long way.
Taking a risk or making a change is scary but change cannot occur without taking those risks.
Things are never perfect. That doesn’t mean we can’t live to our fullest potential. The sky really is the limit.
