Therapeutic Approach:
As an MFT therapist, I use my sense of self, play, and humanism in my work to navigate through the different dynamics we call systems. My background, social location, and demographics allow me to view the MFT world through many lenses. Through the use of Bowenism, solution-focused, and sprinkle some other forms of theories.
My Proudest Accomplishments as a Therapist:
I find joy in watching my clients discover the confidence to put the pieces of the puzzle together. I live for the aha moments, in any way, shape, or form that arrives.
What Has Inspired Me To Become A Therapist:
I like to say MFT found me. I started my college career majoring in early childhood education. I obtained my bachelor's degree in childhood education at Boricua College, located in the Bronx. However, I wasn't satisfied with the education system and wanted to impact my students' lives more. I decided to fulfill this hunger by transitioning into law. I obtained my paralegal certification at Pace University, where my only interest and satisfaction were in the family court portion. However, I still had an appetite for more. I eventually knew to fulfill my journey, I wanted to work with families, couples, individuals, and children. My desire began to grow more, and it was directing me towards therapy. After deciding to enter into my Master's program, I found my calling, MFT.
What I Know For Sure:
As humans, we are always growing and evolving into our authentic sense of self.
