Whitley Louvier M.S., MFT-LP
Telehealth Therapist Therapeutic Specialties: Working with children and teens on emotional regulation, treatment of anxiety and depression, development of healthy boundaries, family conflict, and building communication skills all through a multicultural lens. Therapeutic Approach: In addition to helping clients identify and acknowledge their strengths, I believe that understanding a client’s context is fundamental to collaboration with them. I believe that the stories about ourselves and our families influence our lives, particularly our beliefs about our relationships. Using techniques from Narrative Therapy, we can acknowledge the power of those stories and decide how we want to write our next chapter. Structural Family Therapy can help increase healthy communication between family members as they navigate through life cycle changes. For couple’s therapy, I enjoy utilizing the Gottman Method, which focuses on building friendship and love and Emotionally Focused Therapy, which validates emotions and uncovers the “dance” of the relationship. Works with: Children, Adolescents, Individuals, Couples, and Families Read expanded bio... |
