Kimberly Kuskovsky, MFT Associate www.ManhattanMFT.com

Amelia Flynn, M.A, L.M.F.T.

Therapeutic Specialties: Boundary Multicultural families and couples, parental relationships with adolescents, relationship illness, premarital counseling

Therapeutic Approach: I believe that the word exists in an interconnected fashion which creates and sustains dominate themes that govern our interactions, beliefs, assumptions and perceptions of ourselves and others. I seek to collaborate with clients in journeying through the process of re-storying those themes in an effort to strengthen, elevate, and promote self compassion, growth in relationships, and evolving awareness. I also pursue a culturally humble approach to therapy, recognizing that each individual is a collection of context and culture that is welcomed and encouraged in the therapeutic environment.

Works with: Adolescents, Adults, Couples and Families

Whitley Louvier M.S., MFT-LP

Therapeutic Specialties: Working with children and teens on emotional regulation, treatment of anxiety and depression, development of healthy boundaries, family conflict, and building communication skills all through a multicultural lens.

Therapeutic Approach: In addition to helping clients identify and acknowledge their strengths, I believe that understanding a client’s context is fundamental to collaboration with them. I believe that the stories about ourselves and our families influence our lives, particularly our beliefs about our relationships. Using techniques from Narrative Therapy, we can acknowledge the power of those stories and decide how we want to write our next chapter. Structural Family Therapy can help increase healthy communication between family members as they navigate through life cycle changes. For couple’s therapy, I enjoy utilizing the Gottman Method, which focuses on building friendship and love and Emotionally Focused Therapy, which validates emotions and uncovers the “dance” of the relationship.

Works with: Children, Adolescents, Individuals, Couples, and Families

Jenna Hendricksen, M.A., L.M.F.T.

Therapeutic Specialties: Anxiety, Life-Cycle Transitions, Parenting, Family Reunification, Relational Conflict, and building better communication skills. Jenna is an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) trained therapist specializing in treating spectrum disorders including Autism, ADHD and Anxiety through the implementation of behavioral interventions.

Therapeutic Approach: Therapy should be a safe and positive space to unpack life’s journey. It is a place where clients and therapists form an alliance to work together to fulfill the client’s goals. I like to pull from narrative, solution focused, and emotionally focused therapy. With narrative therapy we get to explore your personal story and find the changes that you want to make. With solution focused we can create small and larger goals to help us get to the big picture every client dreams of. With emotionally focused therapy we can get down to the feelings behind each story and action. This helps us explore the true meaning behind some of these negative events in our life that we want to change.

Works with:  Adolescents, Adults, Couples & Families

Therapeutic Specialties: Treatment of Depression, Anxiety & Adjustment Disorders, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Emergence of Stress due Stages of Life Transitions in adults, adolescents and children, Relational Conflict, Prenatal and Postpartum Stress and Parenting Stress.

Therapeutic Approach: My therapeutic approach is client-centered which has helped me hold an empathic space for my clients to address unconscious conflicts, experience personal growth and development and develop a belief system that is based on empowerment and truth.  I truly believe that each person is capable of reaching their full potential if he/she works through the unaddressed internal conflicts and develops the appropriate skills to feel capable enough to manage life's challenges.
